Una vivienda que se vuelve al interior, donde prima la intimidad. Todo ello en una parcela con un carácter eminentemente longitudinal en el casco histórico. En un intento de evitar que la vivienda se articulara como una sucesión de habitaciones en torno a un pasillo, se decide introducir una serie de patios que rompiesen esa longitudinalidad y generasen espacios habitables más generosos y amables. Todo ello a la vez que se que genera en una de las medianeras un muro equipado que alberga todos los espacios de servicio de la vivienda, para así flexibilizar los demás usos.

Aquí, los patios funcionan como lugares de transición que conectan interior y exterior, ofreciendo unos espacios de encuentro que invitan a la pausa y al descanso. Más que simples vacíos, esta secuencia de patios sirve para regular la luz, la ventilación y la temperatura de la vivienda, aportando calidad espacial y favoreciendo la organización del programa de la vivienda. Esta estrategia, unida al uso de materiales de la zona, contribuyen a una construcción más sostenible del habitar urbano.

A home that turns inward, where privacy reigns supreme. All this on a plot with an eminently longitudinal character in the historic centre. In an attempt to prevent the home from being articulated as a succession of rooms around a corridor, it was decided to introduce a series of courtyards that would break up this longitudinality and create more generous and pleasant living spaces. At the same time, a wall was built on one of the party walls to house all the service areas of the home, thus making the other uses more flexible.

Here, the courtyards function as transitional spaces that connect the interior and exterior, offering meeting places that invite pause and rest. More than just empty spaces, this sequence of courtyards serves to regulate the light, ventilation and temperature of the home, contributing to the quality of the space and facilitating the organisation of the home’s layout. This strategy, combined with the use of local materials, contributes to a more sustainable form of urban living.
